Re: Heads Up 7 Up Now 56 Up |
Hey Micah, it's good to know that this programme is followed on your side of the pond. It's been an absolutely invaluable document of social changes in this country during the last (almost 50) years.
I think it was originally conceived as as a single snapshot documentary, but the decision to revisit the subjects and their agreement to continue (though some refused, but later returned) made it like keeping in touch with old friends as well as seeing how far we've travelled since the early 60s.
At the moment they show brief clips from earlier episodes, but I hope that at some later date they will show each entire episode over a couple of weeks to give a more complete picture.

I find it fascinating. And rest assured their are many folks who watch it on our side of the pond. Though to be frank it's still on a 'cult' level.
Is it widely viewed in Britain? Were folks all ready to go Sunday night in anticipation?

I was, but it's quite possible that many more were watching a dog win 'Britain's got talent'.
Seriously I think it got about 4.5million, good viewing figures for a documentary these days.
